I run several of my own businesses and each of them needs to be advertised and promoted in order to bring in money from the services they offer. These businesses range from website development to skin care products and male waxing.
Over the past ten years I’ve tried and tested several ways of promoting my businesses, and for me the most successful methods have been online. That is due in part to the fact I am an IT geek by training and trade (I was an IT Manager for over ten years) so I have an understanding of technology and the internet, but a lot of what I have tried has failed, and some of it has succeeded for me.
For me is the most important phrase, this guide is a sharing of my experiences and thoughts – I am not a professional marketer, I am not trying to sell or promote a marketing business. I’m just sharing what I’ve done and my thoughts on how other small businesses may be able to promote themselves.

The guide is updated monthly, and the current edition is shown above. There are constant changes to how best to advertise on the internet, and there is a lot to do! So instead of taking months to write a guide I started with the basic edition, and each month add a little more and update the guide. This means that it is always upto date and relevant!
